Why 4% and is it enough?

As a startup, 4% of net sales is a lot, and currently it's the very most we can commit to while remaining operational. In the future, we hope to be able to contribute more by increasing efficiency.

This is in contrast to brands such as Patagonia who donate 1% of their sales to environmental causes.

But I have heard of other companies giving 50% of their profit to charity?

Sure, but profit is different from revenue. Net profit is everything left after all costs, taxes, dividends etc. Revenue is before all that.

    How much do others give?

Often it’s hard to properly assess what is actually given. There is a global initiative called 1% For The Planet which pledges 1%sales to sustainable causes, however, we felt we could do more.
