The Circular Children's Book

In a sustainable and democratic future society, it is paramount that people are given access to knowledge and culture during their entire life-cycle.

Reading and literature are central elements in developing the human abilities needed in society: mastering language, seeking and critically assessing information as well as curiosity, empathy and reflection.

With this notion as a backdrop, we are proud to say that the first initiative by A Good Foundation will be creating a children's book about circularity in collaboration with Publishing Studies at Stockholm University.

A sustainable book about sustainable values

The book, printed with soy ink on stone paper, will in itself be a manifestation of circularity while sharing an important message to both children and their parents alike.

Our first project is made in full partnership with Stockholm University and with no interests in making a profit. We're just in it to share knowledge about circularity and to challenge a traditional industry to start thinking in more innovative and sustainable ways.

By continuously exploring new materials, development processes and business models revolving around the published book, the collaboration between Publishing Studies at Stockholm University and A Good Foundation is contributing to a more circular world.

The project is in its very first phase and we look forward to share updates on a regular basis, so watch this space!

“Our project explores new ways for the publishing industry to use new, sustainable materials and to become climate-positive when it comes to printed books. We aim for cultural, environmental and financial sustainability through circularity.”
