In December, companies around the globe sprinkle their employees with the traditional holiday gift. Having received a LOT of plastic not-so-useful gifts over the years, the team at A Good Company decided to delve into this.

A good company presents a comprehensive survey of sentiment around company holiday gifts. 1400 people responded from the UK and US, between 25-29 November 2019.

Our conclusion

Commonly, employers strive to gift their employees with affordable and somewhat useful presents. Or at least that is the general idea.

This long-standing tradition has become a massive industry. And it does not seem to be declining anytime soon.

"It’s fascinating to see that sustainability awareness seems to be on the rise everywhere, but when it comes to corporate holiday gifts, employers still practice mindless consumption deluxe. It’s clear from the survey that most people would prefer a sustainable and consciously purchased holiday gift instead of a company branded mug or a Donald Trump stress ball."
