We have roots in farming and were aware that the wheat stalk has always been treated as a waste product. But, if you look at them, they’re perfectly designed natural straws.
The Wheat Straw Factory based in Hebei, China takes the leftover wheat stalks and cuts and boils them. That’s it. This earns farmers an extra income without the need for more agriculture.
Our straws are gluten-free and 100% biodegradable, so don’t be worried if a few get lost at a party or picnic. To keep packaging to a minimum, we use only a single natural rubber band and ship in stone paper. Can be cleaned in the dishwasher, will become slightly softer if used for hot drinks. Ideal for sipping for a cool lemonade whilst basking in the sun.
