Do you also get the creative jitters whenever you browse around a museum? So do we! And creating your own art piece feels so good, doesn't it? We think so. Thats why we created a little startup DIY art class, just for you.

Get inspired by our easy-as-pie art class. It's never a bad idea to improve your creative skills, these will undoubtedly come in handy in all walks of life. Why not try sketching out a bumble bee with these easy steps? Or maybe try your hand at abstract drawing. We'll give you the inspiration to get you going!

Start with the basics

You'll need:

  • A sketchbook
  • A pencil to sketch out the outer lines
  • Some great paint, like our water-based allround paint.
  • A few brushes in different sizes
  • A piece of paper to use as pallet (our little red stone paper boxes actually make for perfect pallets if you're keen on upcycling)

    Getting started

Why not start with learning to draw a bumble bee? Follow these 4 simple steps and you'll be going off-road in no-time.

    • Try to set the shape
    • Add texture
    • Shape the wings
    • Add legs, antennae and the final details

    Progress, not perfection!

Why not try your hands on a comic book style bat now? Just follow these three easy steps:

    • Try sketching the bat out by working with geometric shapes
    • Once they resemble a bat, try softening the edges
    • Now fill in the lines and edges that you'd like and add some colour and details

    Et voilá!

Remember, practice makes perfect so enjoy the doodling without too much pressure.

See you in the next class!

For our art class we used our great A4 Stone Paper Sketchbook, our Natural Grass Pencil for sketching out the lines and our vibrant Allround Paint for a splash of colour.
