At agood company, we are passionate about creating sustainable products that promote conscious consumerism. We believe that we can make a positive impact on the world by reducing waste and choosing eco-conscious materials. That's why we are proud to offer plant based mobile cases as a durable and sustainable option for protecting your phone. By including renewable resources and reducing our carbon footprint, we are working towards a future where mindless consumption is replaced by conscious consumerism. Let’s take a closer look at the materials used to make our mobile cases and the benefits of choosing an eco-conscious option for your phone protection. The materials inside our phone case We use a blend of renewable sources to make our mobile cases including Hemp, PLA, Cellulose and Flax, combined with biodegradable PBAT. What is Hemp? Industrial hemp is a plant in the botanical class of Cannabis sativa cultivars and can be used to make a wide range of products. Along with bamboo, hemp is among the fastest growing plants on Earth, which is one of the reasons we like it so much! What is PLA? PLA stands for Polylactic Acid made from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugar cane. It's a natural polymer and we use it in our phone cases instead of widely used petroleum-based plastics like PET (polyethene terephthalate). What is Cellulose? Made from a renewable, compostable raw material - The cellulose we use comes from local forestry residues - cellulose is used to help strengthen our phone cases. What Is Linseed / Flax? Linseed, also known as flaxseed, is a food and fibre crop that has been cultivated for thousands of years. It grows in cooler regions of the world, including Europe, North America, and Asia. The plant is harvested for its seeds, which are commonly used as a health food due to their high nutritional content. Linseed is also a valuable source of fibre, which can be used to make textiles, paper, and other products. We use a little of the waste from linseed oil production as one of the ingredients in our plant-based mobile cases. What is biodegradable PBAT? PBAT is the one material we use which isn't from a renewable source but it is a highly biodegradable polymer that completely decomposes without leaving any toxic residue. This makes it an excellent alternative to toxic or harmful materials such as traditional non biodegradable plastics. When PBAT is added to compost, its decomposition rate is significantly faster than plastic. It takes approximately 60-120 days for PBAT to decompose in an ideal composting environment, while plastic takes over 400 years! PBAT does not release any toxic gases to the environment during decomposition and does not leave microplastics, making it a completely biodegradable polymer. And while PBAT does not originally come from a renewable source, we make it re-usable. Which means the more of our phone cases we recycle, the less new PBAT we need to use. Our phone case manufacturing process We spent a lot of time refining our local manufacturing process - it's surprisingly hard to make products which have the characteristics of traditional plastic but which are made from renewable or biodegradable sources. Here are a few of the things we are most proud of: Fully circular! Our number 1 objective is to make a product which we can take back, re-process and re-use to make something else. And that's exactly what we've managed with our phone cases. By doing so we lower the amount of waste created in our industry, and we reduce the amount of virgin material needed to make the next generation of phone cases. Win win. We understand that not everyone has the time or energy to send a product back to the manufacturer for recycling. Our phone cases are biodegradable under the right conditions - and that requires industrial composting. So they will return to their original state, but we'll always prefer to get them back! We also hate wasting water. That's why we take care to avoid any water waste during the manufacturing process. Because let's face it, every drop counts. Overall, we're pretty proud of our innovative practices. And we're not just saying that – we have our plant-based mobile cases to prove it. Benefits of using our mobile cases At agood company, we believe that sustainability is all about circularity and the circular economy. That means finding ways to use resources in a way that keeps them in the economy for as long as possible. And that's where our fully circular mobile cases come in. First of all, let's talk about the obvious benefits. Our cases are lightweight, slim, and stylish. This means you can protect your phone without sacrificing your fashion sense. Plus, they're strong and durable, which means they can handle whatever life throws your way (including those inevitable drops and scratches). Circular Program, agood loop™ But that's not all. Because we're committed to circularity, we have a program called agood loop™ that lets you swap your mobile case for a new one - at any time and for any reason. agood loop™ is a circular system that allows you to send your old case back to us for recycling. We'll make sure it gets broken down and reused in a way that keeps it in the economy for as long as possible. Conclusion In conclusion, at agood company, we take pride in using eco-conscious and innovative practices in the production of our mobile cases. By including renewable sources and creating a dedicated recycling program, we believe that protecting the environment and creating high-quality products can go hand in hand. By developing a manufacturing process that produces no waste, uses no harmful chemicals, and is 100% circular, we are making a positive impact on the environment. With our commitment to conscious consumerism, we hope to inspire others to make conscious choices and help create a better world for future generations.
